Important Housing Survey

Good Day Shinnecock Community,

The Housing Department has received 64 responses so far to the IHBG Survey that was sent out on November 9th. With over 300 tribal members living on territory, we still need many more voices to ensure this funding truly reflects the needs of our people.

This survey is essential in helping us determine:

• How many new construction homes and rental units are needed,

• How much funding should be dedicated to home renovations and repairs,

• And how to best allocate your federal housing dollars to support our community.

This is your money, for your homes, and your future. We need the community’s full participation so we can plan responsibly and meet the needs of all Shinnecock families.

If you have elders, family members, or neighbors who may not have access to a computer, please reach out to me directly. I will gladly come to you and help complete the survey in person.

Please take a few moments to complete the survey and respond by Friday December 12th at 5pm, it is for you, your household, and the strength of our Shinnecock community.
