Anna Cuffee and Celeste Syas are both recipients of Running Strong’s Dreamstarter Program grant. The 2025 Dreamstarter Projects focus on traditional medicines, food sovereignty, education access, language preservation, and arts and culture revitalization.

Since 2015, Running Strong has cultivated a network of 90 Native youth leaders through the Dreamstarter Academy. Each year, the organization awards Dreamstarter grants to 10 Native youth and their nonprofit mentor organizations, supporting projects inspired by their dreams for their communities.

Anna’s dream is to ensure that tribal families have access to culturally relevant, personalized, and autonomous healthcare. She aims to improve maternal and infant health outcomes by providing pregnancy-related education, resources, and support.

Celeste’s dream is to uplift and promote wellness in her community by offering healing and skill-building opportunities through art therapy. She is founding an art studio where youth can freely express themselves in a safe space while exploring traditional cultural art forms.
