The mission of the Wuneechanunk Shinnecock Preschool (WSP) is to provide young children with the opportunities to achieve their full, unique potential through comprehensive, culturally sensitive early childhood care and education, planned and implemented in partnership with families and the community.

Operating under the federal Child Care Development Fund block grant (CCDF), WSP services infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children from 6 weeks old to 4 years old (with birthdays after December 1st). Our program currently consists of three classrooms which includes the Ohke Room (ages 6weeks -18months), Nippe Room (ages 18months- 36 months), and Kesuk room (3 years to 4 years old). We are excited to announce the progress of our growing facility to be complete by end of January 2026, adding on three additional classrooms that will allow us to better support our community’s growing early childcare needs.
