Enhanced Tribal Card
Shinnecock is proud to announce that we now offer Tribal Citizens the Enhanced Tribal Card (ETC). Appointments start July 29, 2026.
An Enhanced Tribal Card (ETC) is a secure, federally recognized ID issued to enrolled members of U.S. Native American tribes. It functions as a WHTI-compliant document (an official travel credential that proves both your identity and citizenship), meaning it allows Tribal Citizens to enter the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Bermuda by land or sea, just like a U.S. Passport Card.
Appointments are available on Wednesday and Thursday ONLY.
YOU MUST be present at time of appointment.

Fee for ETC – Enhanced Tribal Card
$95 First ID and Expired Renewals
$80 Veterans, ages 65+, lost, stolen and/or renewals not yet expired
Payment must be paid at time of appointment by Cash, Certified Check/Money Order, or Cash App.
REQUIRMENTS:
All documents MUST be Originals. We cannot except ANY copies of the required documents
Documents Used to Establish U.S. Citizenship (one or more):

Original or certified state, or Tribe-issued birth certificate

Consular Report of Birth Abroad or Certificate of Birth

Certificate of Naturalization (FRM N-550, N-570)

Documents to Establish Identity (two or more) (ONE MUST HAVE A PHOTO ID):

Valid, (unexpired) U.S. Passport

Original or certified state, or Tribe-issued birth certificate

Valid State-issued driver’s license or identification card (excluding temporary or leaner permits)

Municipal government-issued identification, federal or state identification card including a Social Security card

Valid, (unexpired) Tribal identification card issued by the Shinnecock Indian Nation in which a Shinnecock citizen may be a dual-enrolled member

U.S. military identification card
-
Municipal government-issued, federal, or state document depicting marriage, divorce and/or other name changes _____ Certificate of Naturalization (FRM N-550, N-570)

Certificate of Citizenship (FRM N-560, N-561)

Department of State Consular Report of Birth Abroad (FS-240, DS-1350, F-545)
Documents/Statement to Establish Principal Address (one):

Recent utility (gas, electricity, water bill),

Shinnecock Indian Nation verification letter or

voter registration of the applicant/parent or legal guardian verifying principal address.
